We seem to be constantly inundated with calls to action to get rich quick, to not work, to avoid work, to do the least amount possible...to get ripped abs in only seconds a day!...
And while I am all for efficiency, there is a fine line between being efficient and simply being lazy. And if you're not getting the results you want, it may well be time to look at what you're doing and ask yourself: "Am I doing enough?, am I working hard enough?...am I doing THE WORK?"
Because if you're not doing the critical mass of work required for whatever it is you want to achieve, quite obviously you'll never achieve the joy that comes with success.
When did work become something to be avoided?
I guess when we decided to work simply for money, and not work for pursuits that fuel our passion and purpose.
What happened to working hard (and sometimes long) to strive towards valuable goals, and enjoying a hard day's work in a pursuit that you love?
If you want to be strong you HAVE to get in the gym and lift some serious weight.
If you want to write a book you HAVE to get the critical mass of words on paper.
If you want to have a PhD you need to spend some serious time at Uni!
But if it drives YOUR life of passion and purpose it's worth it.
Do the work.
