Vitamin D and MS

Interesting that on the news last night there was a piece on an ongoing study looking at the regional prevalence of Multiple Sclerosis. Initial results seem to suggest that the further away from the equator an area is the greater the prevalence of MS. The researchers hypothesise that this is due to lower vitamin D levels - particularly in winter. I'm sure there'll be more studies like this showing a greater prevalence of many illnesses due to low sun exposure - and it's a timely wake up call to get out and get active outdoors!
